- 1 cup of buttermilk
- 2 pounds of chicken tenderloins cut into bite-sized nuggets
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon of paprika
- 1 tablespoon of dried parsley flakes
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups of panko bread crumbs
- Cooking spray
In a spacious bowl, mix the buttermilk and chicken, allowing the chicken to soak while you work on the seasoned flour.
In another sizable bowl, mix the flour, grated Parmesan cheese, paprika, dried parsley, salt, and ground black pepper. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Place the panko bread crumbs on a flat plate.
Coat each chicken nugget by first dredging it in the flour mixture, then dipping it in the beaten egg, and finally coating it thoroughly with breadcrumbs.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Lightly spray the basket with cooking spray. Arrange as many nuggets in the basket as you can without overcrowding. Give the tops of the nuggets a gentle mist of cooking spray.
Cook for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken nuggets and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Once done, remove them and repeat the process with the remaining nuggets.
