Ingredients

  • 1 cup of buttermilk
  • 2 pounds of chicken tenderloins cut into bite-sized nuggets
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of paprika
  • 1 tablespoon of dried parsley flakes
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups of panko bread crumbs
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  • In a spacious bowl, mix the buttermilk and chicken, allowing the chicken to soak while you work on the seasoned flour.
  • In another sizable bowl, mix the flour, grated Parmesan cheese, paprika, dried parsley, salt, and ground black pepper. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Place the panko bread crumbs on a flat plate.
  • Coat each chicken nugget by first dredging it in the flour mixture, then dipping it in the beaten egg, and finally coating it thoroughly with breadcrumbs.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Lightly spray the basket with cooking spray. Arrange as many nuggets in the basket as you can without overcrowding. Give the tops of the nuggets a gentle mist of cooking spray.
  • Cook for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken nuggets and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Once done, remove them and repeat the process with the remaining nuggets.
